Canadore, Nipissing and Callander Partner for Students
Canadore College and Nipissing University students will be gaining some valuable project experience with the Town of Callander in the up-coming school year.
Recently, Canadore and Nipissing signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Town of Callander. As part of the MOU, students and faculty from Canadore’s Environmental Protection and Compliance program and Nipissing’s Departments of Geography and Biology will provide research, laboratory work and teaching resources to the Municipality with a focus on environmental issues and sustainable management.
Students who participate also have an opportunity for future employment. As outlined in the MOU, the Municipality agrees to consider hiring the students for further field work and research as opportunities for funding arise.
