Canadore Hosting Student Welcome Session
Canadore College is hosting the last session of Beat the Rush this Friday. The goal of Beat the Rush is to provide new students and their parents with an opportunity to become more familiar with the college and the City of North Bay, while allowing them to beat many of the long lineups at the beginning of the fall academic year.
These events allow the college to provide the students and their families with relevant information that is integral to their academic and personal success. Student activities and seminars include postsecondary budgeting techniques, a library tour, a technology workshop, college accreditation materials, and a guided tour of the City of North Bay. Parents will have the opportunity to learn more about their children’s education by attending an academic clinic.
Chris Bird, Beat the Rush coordinator says, “Students attending Beat the Rush have the opportunity to explore their campus and feel comfortable in their surroundings, making it less of a burden in September when they have so many other things to think about.”
Beat the Rush will take place on:
Friday, July 27: College Drive Campus
