Canadore College’s School of Continuing Education received a “CONNY” Award of Excellence at the 2011 Heads of Continuing Education Annual Conference held in Niagara Falls last week.

The Win/Win Integrated Delivery Partnership Award was granted to Canadore based on its unique partnership with Confederation College, which enables the institutions to share course curricula and deliver classroom courses to smaller learning cohorts. This innovative and collaborative delivery model makes it possible for the colleges to provide face to face course delivery to smaller groups of students within their home communities.

“We are so excited to bring home this award,” said Tracie Marsh-Fior, Canadore’s Dean of Continuing Education. “We pride ourselves on providing learners with readily-available access to quality education through flexible and supportive delivery methods so they can improve their knowledge and skills while maintaining their individual lifestyle choices.”

Canadore College currently offers approximately 30 certificate and diploma programs through part-time study modules in-class, online and through distance education. The School of Continuing Education offers flexible learning solutions and educational pathways to over 3,500 learners every year.
