Congratulations Canadore Graduates!
 
 
Canadore College held its sixth Convocation Ceremonies at the College Drive Campus.

Students from programs in the School of Communication Arts, Information Technology, Skilled Trades, and Preparatory graduated today.

Guest speaker, the Honourable Monique M. Smith, Minister of Revenue, Nipissing MPP, spoke to over 60 graduates.

Monique Smith was first elected to the Ontario legislature in 2003 and served as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care until 2007 when she was appointed Minister of Revenue. Monique also serves on the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet, the Justice, Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affairs Cabinet committee and the Legislative Assembly’s Board of Internal Economy. Prior to being elected as MPP, Monique held the positions of Chief of Staff to the Leader of the Official Opposition, Dalton McGuinty and Executive Director of the Association of Canadian Publishers (ACP).


Canadore is very proud of all the graduates for their accomplishments and for achieving their education goals. This year there were over 1,150 graduates. Canadore has produced over 30,000 graduates since its inception.

The next Convocation Ceremonies will be in Parry Sound on August 27.
