Call Edge wins national award

Call Edge – Avantage Appel, a practice firm created out of a partnership between Canadore College, Collège Boréal and the Government of Canada, won 2nd place for its Marketing Strategy submission at the 2007 Canadian Practice Firm Network Tradeshow.
Each year the CPFN (Canadian Practice Firm Network) organizes a trade show for all practice firms to attend and gain practical trade show experience. Practice firms compete from all over Canada, the U.S., and even Europe. This year the 2007 Trade Show was held in Vaughn at the Renaissance Parque Convention Centre from October 23 to 25.
Call Edge, created in June 2004, is a practice firm simulating a real call centre. Its main focus is to provide participants with the opportunity to upgrade and hone their skills in customer care by giving them practical work experience, updated technical skills and job searching skills. This venture was created in response to a need for further training in customer service skills within the community. Call Edge, located at Canadore College’s Commerce Court Campus is one of over 4,000 practice firms around the world.
