Canadore’s Aviation Campus Opens to Soaring Enrolment
Canadore College’s Aviation Campus saw a boost in first year enrolment as its doors opened for the 2009-2010 school year on August 18.
This year there are 13 per cent more first year students than last year roaming the halls. Classes began this week at the campus for the Aircraft Structural Repair Technician, Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance and Aviation Technician – Avionics Maintenance programs.
The majority of the School of Aviation students come from outside of the region from various municipalities including Ottawa, Timmins, Cambridge and Hamilton. There are 151 new students enrolled at the campus this year with 29 of them being international students.
Classes start for most programs at all campuses on September 8.
Canadore welcomes all new and returning students to another exciting academic year.
