Students Take Aim at Faculty and Staff
Pie-Throwing at College Drive Campus
 
Faculty and staff are starting to take cover as Social Service Worker students prepare for a fundraising event tomorrow at the College Drive Campus. Pie-throwing will take place in front of the cafeteria from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. , Wednesday, November 19, 2003. Faculty from varied program areas and the President of Canadore College, Barbara Taylor are scheduled to participate.
 
This event is organized by the Social Service Worker students as part of a year-long initiative to raise money for the Cancer Society and The Gathering Place. The students are hoping to raise a total of $5000 throughout the academic year.

Community involvement and fundraising plays a vital role in the curriculum of Canadore?s two-year Social Service Worker program. This year?s group is eager and enthusiastic to contribute to the community and the college.
