Canadore Recognizes Skilled Trades Partners
The Canadore College Centre for Skilled Trades hosted a Corporate Partner Appreciation Event on Monday, May 17, 2004 to recognize the contribution of Canadore's industry partners, through partnerships and donations, to its skilled trades programs.
"We are extremely appreciative of the support that our skilled trades programs have received from our industry partners and are proud to be hosting this event to recognize their contributions to our programs," commented Barbara Taylor, President of Canadore College.
"Our partners contribute in many ways: by donating equipment, so that our faculty and students can work with and learn using current equipment and technology; by partnering and supporting initiatives to promote our skilled trades programs; and by consulting and advising the College with respect to our programs."

Canadore is committed to working with industry and community partners to increase awareness, improve perception, and provide a qualified workforce. As well, Canadore is dedicated to providing opportunities for Northern and rural youth to enter the skilled trades.
