Pam Day High School Band Challenge
To Take Place On Sunday

The Pam Day High School Band Challenge will take place this Sunday, May 16, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Canadore College's Aviation Campus (follow the signs from the North Bay Jack Garland Airport).

The Pam Day Challenge will see high school student bands from the Mattawa, North Bay, Almaguin and Sturgeon Falls areas competing against one another for one of the three top spots and substantial prizes.

Along with these aspiring bands, feature group Pilate will perform their hit single, ?Into your hideout?.

The Pam Day Band Challenge replaces the Pam Day Walkathon, which was started in May 2001, the year after the passing of Pamela Ranger. The title, Pam Day, was chosen as a reminder that victims of impaired driving were people with names, faces, families, hopes, dreams and futures.

Tickets will be available for $12 at the door.

The event is being hosted by the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) Nipissing Committee, in partnership with Canadore College, 102 fm The Fox, Rogers AT&T, and Cooperators.
