Canadore College Aviation Campus To Host
Pam Day High School Band Challenge
The Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) Nipissing Committee is partnering with Canadore College to host the Pam Day High School Band Challenge on Sunday, May 16, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at the College?s Aviation Campus.
The Pam Day Challenge is open to high school students in the Mattawa, North Bay, Almaguin and Sturgeon Falls areas. Three winning bands will be selected and awarded substantial prizes.
Also partnering with MADD and Canadore are 102 fm The Fox, Rogers AT&T, and Cooperators.
Along with these aspiring bands, feature group Pilate will perform their hit single, ?Into your hideout?.
The Pam Day band challenge replaces the Pam Day Walkathon, which was started in May 2001, the year after the passing of Pamela Ranger. The title, Pam Day, was chosen as a reminder that victims of impaired driving were people with names, faces, families, hopes, dreams and futures.
Tickets to the event will be available from North Bay area high schools for $10 in advance, or at the door for $12.
