Still Time To Experience The Arts This Summer!
 
Canadore College's School of the Arts, Artsperience, has been up and running for the past several weeks and already more than 600 students have enjoyed or have signed up to enjoy an arts course this summer.
 
With several more weeks of programming to go, artists of all ages and levels of experience can still take advantage of the school and its well-respected artist-instructors.

"We've had a fantastic response to some of the new courses that we've offered this year. Our sushi-making course with Masa Nagasawa from the Kabuki House is full and we?ll be offering the course again this fall. As well, several of our children?s programs are full," said Karyn Brearley, Executive Director of Entreprise and Partnership at Canadore.

"And, as always, many of the favourites continue to be popular this summer. We've had great response to our painting classes with Bruce St. Clair, Jack Lockhart and Arlie Hoffman, as well as our quilting classes," said Brearley.

Courses for adults scheduled to take place over the next several weeks include:

July 19 to 23
• Watercolour II with Bruce St. Clair
• Handbuilding Clay Sculpture II with Tim Storey
• Landscape Painting/Painting with Casein with John Molnar
• Jewellery Casting Advanced with Peter Sloan

July 26 to 30
• Raku I with Judy Lowery
• Oil to Acrylic :Drawing and Mixed Media II with Bruce St. Clair
• Watecolour II with Arlie Hoffman
• Acting for Television with Rod Carley
• Sponge Stencil Techniques with Hugh McKenzie
• Introduction to Life Drawing with Fran Hanover
• Quiltmaking: Fabric Collage Art with Gillian Spencer & Carol Young

By popular demand, Canadore has expanded its youth programs for the second straight year! It?s not too late for kids and teens to get creative this summer, with several courses designed to providing a fun learning experience being offered in the next few weeks.
