Congratulations Canadore Graduates!
Canadore is holding its final Convocation Ceremony this week at the Education Centre.
On August 18 at 10 a.m. at the Education Centre Gymnasium, Canadore will bid farewell to 162 of its students. This year there were five Convocation Ceremonies and approximately 1000 graduates.
Gail Smyth, Executive Director of Skills Canada – Ontario, will be speaking to the graduates of the Communication Arts, Information Technology, Preparatory, and Skilled Trades programs at the August Convocation.
Gail has been Executive Director of Skills Canada – Ontario since 1997 earning her Canadian Association Management designation in 2001. She is also one of the co-authors of the most recent edition of the textbook, “Canadian Association Management”.
Skills Canada – Ontario is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of careers in the skilled trades and technologies as viable first choice options for young people in Ontario. During the 2006-2007 school year, Gail and her staff facilitated programs, competitions and in-school presentations to over 500,000 students from across Ontario.
Canadore is very proud of all the graduates for their accomplishments and for achieving their education goals.
