Continuing Education Conference Goes Green
Canadore College in conjunction with the five other Northern colleges is hosting the 2010 Heads of Continuing Education Annual Conference. The conference theme this year is, “Lean, Mean & Green: What Does it Mean to be Green in CE”?
The focus will be “green” education. Conference participants will be discussing ways to provide educational opportunities on sustainability as well as sharing best practices in offering training and carrying out day to day business.
A number of engaging speakers are lined up including Mike Purcell of The Natural Step Canada, Ben Farella of The Ben Farella Group and Steven Draves of Solar DC. Other speakers include Dr. Steven Murgatroyd, William Draves and Dr. David DeYoe.
“As leaders in lifelong learning, Continuing Education departments across Ontario are doing their part to respond to the growing trend of sustainability and green initiatives of the communities we serve,” said Tracie Marsh-Fior, Dean of Continuing Education.
