Arlie Hoffman Speaks at Canadore
Renowned artist, Arlie Hoffman, will be speaking at Canadore College as part of the lecture series for Artsperience.
Arlie’s presentation, entitled Artists’ Talk and Historical Reflection on the Angele Project, is an informative presentation that will detail the research involved in the Angele Project, as well as explore hypothetical situations evolving out of the Grey Owl myth.
Arlie is an accomplished painter and master of watercolor, acrylic and oil. His subject matter varies from sweeping landscapes to detailed portraits. Arlie’s work is featured in many private and public collections and his Giesler Boat painting was featured on the Artsperience 2002 poster. Arlie is teaching his Artsperience watercolour courses from July 24 to 28 and July 31 to August 4. His classes fill up quickly and students and participants are continually inspired by his course content.
The presentation and lecture will take place on July 12 at 12 p.m. in the Canadore Dining Room. This is a free event and is open to the public.
This is the second session of the new Artist Lecture Series. The first presentation featured Keith Campbell, Canadore’s Artist in Residence, on July 4. The next lecture will feature photographer David Lewis on July 19.
