Canadore Celebrates 40 Years as a Community Employer
Canadore College has built a strong and proud history through the work of its employees and retirees. As Canadore celebrates its 40th Anniversary, the College is recognizing the contribution of its retirees by hosting a Retirees Celebratory Event on April 17, 2008.
The celebration is kicking off at 1:00 p.m. with guided tours of the Aviation, Commerce Court and College Drive campuses for the retirees.
At 4:00 p.m. the retirees are hosting a wine and cheese reception in the College Drive Cafeteria for honoured guests and Canadore College employees. In support of Canadore College students, the planning committee has set a fundraising goal of $5,000 for student scholarships and bursaries. Money will be raised through donations and a silent auction.
During this social hour, the Theatre Arts students will be performing a musical presentation. A dinner and presentation for retirees and their guests will follow the reception, at 5:30 p.m.
