Canadore Hosts 35th Annual Canadore Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament
The Canadore College Alumni Association is hosting its 35th Annual Golf Tournament this weekend - June 17 and 18.
On Friday evening, alumni and friends are invited to attend the President Mixer and Social at the Clarion Pinewood Park Resort at 6 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to network with Canadore President George Burton, Alumni Association board members, old friends and members of the community. Golfers can also practice their game with nine holes of golf.
“It is exciting for the College’s Alumni board to be hosting its 35th successful golf tournament. Each year, alumni from across the province return to North Bay to reconnect with their classmates and reminisce about their experiences at Canadore and in the community,” said Advancement and Alumni Director Brad Gavan. “Through this event the College also gets the chance to update our graduates with new and exciting endeavours, as well as engage them in helping us create a fun and successful environment for the students of today and tomorrow.”
Players will play 18 holes of golf at Clear Springs Golf Course, enjoy lunch and an awards banquet dinner and ceremony with prizes.
Proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit the Canadore College Scholarships and Bursaries Endowment Fund. The Canadore College Alumni Association disburses approximately $15,000 annually to its student body. Canadore and the Alumni Association thanks its alumni for their continued and ongoing support.
