You can upgrade in your own community! Programs are free and are delivered in a traditional classroom setting. Math and English courses are offered on a continuous intake. Call Jocelyn at (705) 746-9222 in Parry Sound.

Numerous Certificates Are Available Through Distance Education

Complete courses or entire certificates from the comfort of your own home or through your local Contact North site in Parry Sound. Be sure to read through the entire calendar as all Contact North, correspondence and online classes are available to you. Go to the OntarioLearn website at www.ontariolearn.com - we can register you for most of the courses or certificate programs you find.

Canadore College opened the doors to its community campus in Parry Sound in 2004, offering adult upgrading, preparatory and continuing education programming.

As a result of federal and provincial funding through the Knowledge Infrastructure Program and Ontario’s 2009 Budget, we are excited to watch the new West Parry Sound Campus take shape. Canadore’s Continuing Education department takes pride in its ability to provide accessible, relevant and timely courses delivered in-class or via distance. In addition to responding to the workforce needs of the West Parry Sound area, the Continuing Education department provides learning opportunities in areas such as communication, business, information technology, health services, trades and arts.

The new West Parry Sound Community Campus will open its doors in 2011 at its new location off of Parry Sound Drive.
