This course is specifically designed for intermediate to advanced students working in clay. Professional throwing and handbuilding techniques, skills, and tricks of the trade will be explored. Emphasis will be placed on working in C/6 white stoneware clay, exploring design, construction, and decoration applications that suit both functional and non-functional work.

No experience needed! You will learn the basic techniques needed to hand-build and throw on the wheel. You will work your way through cup, bowl, plate and platter forms. We will also discuss functional and sculptural pottery. A material list will be supplied; additional tools may be ordered.
