Watercolour I

This course, which will rely on demonstrations, hands-on work, and individualized attention, will emphasize both fundamental and specialized techniques. Watercolour I, is designed not only for beginners but also for more experienced painters who wish to improve their skills and enjoy an evening of painting along with a little practical art theory.

Historic Life Drawing

Life drawing is traditionally performed by an artist viewing a nude model. What if the model wasn’t nude? What if instead we were to take character studies of models posing in historically significant attire? This course will cover life drawing of models wearing clothing and uniforms from several different eras throughout history.

Introduction to Wire Jewellery

Wire jewellery is an accessible way to discover the medium of jewellery with minimal studio investment. Throughout the week participants will use a variety of pliers, tubing and hammers to create beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces out of sterling silver and craft wire. Link formation, binding, bead and stone wrapping are only a few of the techniques that will be learned to create rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets. Taught through demonstration, participants will be able to take the skills learned to set up their own home wire jewellery studio. Tools will be provided with the option to purchase tool kits.
