College Cancellation Policy
Canadore College reserves the right to postpone, combine, or cancel classes, limit registration, and/or change instructors. If insufficient enrolment causes the cancellation of a course, fees will be fully refunded or transferred (space permitting) to another subject of your choice in the same semester.

Withdrawal from a Course
Withdrawal from a course is your responsibility and all requests must be processed through the Part-time Registration Office in person or by telephone (705) 474- 7600 ext. 5420 or toll free (800) 519-2534 ext. 1 before the second regularly-scheduled class. Your tuition fee will be refunded, less a $15 processing fee. You will not receive an academic record. Non-attendance in classes does not constitute a notice of withdrawal. After the second scheduled class, fees are neither transferable nor refundable. When a withdrawal is requested after the refund date, the withdrawal period is 15 calendar days after registration and seven calendar days prior to the scheduled end date of the course. Within this time period a “WD” grade will be assigned to your student record; this does not affect your grade point average (GPA) for credit courses. After the withdrawal period has passed the course will remain on your student record with the grade earned or a Repeat (R).

Senior Citizens’ Fees
Senior citizens 55 and older are eligible for 15% discount on the tuition fee portion on all continuing education courses.

Harmonized Sales Tax
While all attempts have been made to anticipate the regulatory changes with the implementation of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), please note that total fees payable, and the timing of the implementation of any total fees payable on any course affected by the HST, may change. The College reserves the right to make any changes necessary to comply with the Harmonized Sales Tax implementation.
