Our Panther Club team programs provide the student with a more competitive challenge than you might typically get in our Campus Recreation program. Team tryout sessions are scheduled, players are evaluated and team rosters are determined by mid October.
Panther Club Hockey players participate in four extramural provincial tournaments vs. other college club teams and practice once per week at the Pete Palangio Arena.
Commitment Includes: 1-2 practices week, 2.0 Grade Point Average, some overnight travel.
Panther Men's Hockey
Canadore College offers a variety of ways to become a Panther. One opportunity is by becoming a member of the men's ice hockey team. Participation involves attending a mandatory player's meeting in September, tryouts, practices, as well as tournaments. The Panther's take part in seven tournaments, including: the Canadore Invitational, ARHA Invitational, Georgian College in Orillia, St. Lawrence College in Brockville, Conestoga in Kitchener, Fleming College in Lindsay and the Durham Challenge Cup in March. If you would like to be a member of the Panther's ice hockey team, you must attend the player's meeting at the end of September. We look forward to seeing you there.
