Athletics Brochure Wins Gold

I am pleased to announce that your entry in the prestigious NCMPR Paragon Awards competition has been selected as a finalist.

Your entry in the Sport Brochure category will receive a gold, silver or bronze award at our annual national conference, scheduled March 9 through 12 at the Hyatt Regency Savannah in Savannah, Georgia. Always a highlight of the conference, the Paragon celebration will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11.

This year more than 80 judges from across the country reviewed over 2,050 entries in this annual competition that recognizes excellence in communications exclusively among two-year colleges. Your winning entry, along with all of the national entries, will be displayed throughout the conference and will be shown to our program guests on March 11.

I sincerely hope you will be able to attend the awards program. We encourage your colleagues to join you at this spectacular event; however, we do request that you designate only one person from your college to receive the Paragon award at the ceremony. Your college representative will be asked to sit in a designated section during the awards ceremony.

Since we will be shipping to the conference location only those awards that will be picked up the evening of the dinner, it is important that you confirm your presence or absence at the awards ceremony by contacting Becky Olson by e-mail at bolson@ncmpr.org or by phone at (970) 330-0771 no later than Friday, Feb. 1. This will guarantee delivery of your award to Savannah or to your office approximately three weeks after the Paragon presentation. Additional certificates may be ordered online (www.ncmpr.org) for shipping after the award ceremony.

If you plan to attend the entire conference, you may take advantage of the "early-bird" registration rate up until the time the conference begins. The conference brochure and registration form are on the NCMPR Web site at www.ncmpr.org. The form also needs to be completed if you plan to attend only the Paragon evening; the cost for this is $175 per person and allows you to participate in the conference program on either Tuesday, March 11, or Wednesday, March 12.

Congratulations on your fine work.
